  • On Friday, May 1, Scott Warren, in his role as President of the Society for the Policing of Cyberspace, will moderate a panel at POLCYB’s Quarterly Conference in Vancouver, Canada. The panel will discuss legal developments and challenges in the use of AI and new technology in the detection, investigation and prosecution of cybercriminals.   • On Wednesday, May 13, Alan Friel is moderating the panel, “Privacy, Advertising, and the First Amendment,” at the Network Advertising Initiative Summit in Washington, DC. The panel will address the growing tension between consumer privacy protections and First Amendment rights in the context of digital advertising. More information.
  • On Friday, May 15, Scott Warren is speaking at the 2026 International Conference on Cybercrime and Digital Forensics held in Jeju, South Korea, co-hosted by the Korean National Police University, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (Wuhan, China), Jeju Provincial Police Agency, Division of Coast Guard Studies KMOU and the Dept of Forensics of SungKyunKwan University. The theme of this conference is AI-Driven Cybercrime & the Future of Digital Justice. Scott’s topic for this conference is Cybersecurity Governance in the AI Era. This is a closed event.
  • Also on May 15, Alan Friel will present “Pixels on Trial: Defending Privacy Claims Over Tracking, Chatbots, and Session Replay” at the ITechLaw 2026 World Technology Law Conference in Chicago. More information.
