On Tuesday, October 18, Squire Patton Boggs (SPB) joined forces with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) to provide a deep dive into “Publicity and Privacy Issues for Media and Advertising” during the ACC’s Sports and Entertainment Conference.

Our experts for this event include SPB’s Alan Friel and Marisol Mork. Together, Alan and Marisol examined recent case law on rights of privacy and publicity related to advertising and media, including in social media, as well as provided an overview of new state consumer privacy laws, including as applied to digital advertising and e-commerce.

As the leader of the Data Privacy, Cybersecurity & Digital Assets practice, Alan is at the forefront of emerging media and tech, advising publishers and other online services, advertisers, ad tech companies, marketing services providers, data brokers, e-commerce merchants, software and SaaS/PaaS providers, and other data controllers and processors of all sorts, on related legal issues.

Marisol, co-leader of the firm’s Advertising, Media & Brands interest group, is highly regarded for her experience in advising her clients on the regulatory and legal issues involving brand and consumer protection rights, as well as mitigating litigation risks in the advertising, marketing and media sectors.
